General:
Shown as 17 years old in 1881 census. No trace of Jesse Clements anywhere in 19 01 census. There is, however, a Joseph Clements born Soulbury shown as aged 33 . If the 1881 census is right Jesse would have been 37 or 38 in 1901. If Jess e and Jospeh are one and the same then he married Mary [unknown] and acquired tw o step-children (see 1901 census for Joseph and Mary Clements).
