From CWGC records Private H Andrews was killed in action on 29 April 1917. He was a member of 6th Battalion, the Bedfordshire Regiment.

Minnie Beaumont's brother, Sergeant Robert James Beaumont, was killed in action on 24 June 1917. He was a member of 8th Battalion, the Bedfordshire Regiment.

There is a marriage record for the parish church of St Pancras, London, England dated 2 November 1918 showing Minnie Elizabeth Andrews, 24 years, widow married James Frederick Trult or Truet, 28 years, bachelor farmer. Her father is shown as William Beaumont, labourer. His father is shown as William Trult or Truet, deceased farmer.

The marriage entry is endorsed 'See note attached'. The whole note is not visible but can be discerned to read, in part, '...making a note of this. The entry is 71 in the register book of marriages. Hoping, sir, you will oblidge both father and daughter, I remain, William Beaumont, 177 Heath Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Please will you answer this letter.'

There is no trace of any Trult or Truet (or Truett) matching James Frederick either before or after this wedding (FreeBMD, Census Returns etc).

SPECULATION

He was a commonwealth or american soldier who may have returned home with his bride.
