General:

Emma Rich, my great grandmother, was born to Albert Rich and Emma Louisa Wood on January 17th 1872 at 5 Seville Court, Charles Street, Bristol. The 1891 census shows an Emma Rich aged 20, born in Canton, Glamorgan as a servant of the Norris family at 114 Gloucester Rd. Horfield, Bristol. (Emma ha d a younger sister born in 1875 in Dowlais, Glamorgan; presumably Emma was brought up in Glamorgan and thought she had been born there). She married George James Millman on 4th October 1891 in Swansea, Glamorgan. See notes re George James Millman.
