Misc. event Type: I.G.I. Christening Misc. event Date: 1813 Baptism Date: 31 DEC 1813 Baptism Place: Parish Record Misc. event Type: Parish Record from John M Misc. event Date: 1813 Fanny was born to George Shipley and Anne at Burton Latimer. She was baptised in the Parish church there on December 31st 1813. The 1871 census shows Fanny and her older sister Jane living together in Burton Latimer; their great nephew Cecil Edgar aged 6 was also living there. Fanny is listed as "the proprietor of cottages" At the time of the 1881 census Fanny was living at Main St. South End, Burton Latimer. Her age was given as 66 and her occupation was given as "formerly cook". Her great nephew George aged 11 was also living there. Fanny never married and when she died in 1882 she left her "real and personal estate and effects" to her brother George who was then living in Outlands, Tasmania. (Her sister Jane, the original legattee, having already died). This amounted to 269. 7s.9d. (a large sum of money at the time) and may also have included some property. Although in her will Fanny's abode was given as 43 Great Ormond Street she apparently died at Burton Latimer .
