General:

Ann's year of birth is estimated from her age, given as 58, in the 1851 census . Her birth place was given as Kingswood, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, England, although it appears that she came fro m St. Albans. She married John Millman in September 1814. Together they had at least nine ch ildren; sadly four of them died in infancy (three when they were still babies ) and three more died when they were in their twenties. Ann died on 28th December 1860 aged 68. There is a memorial to the family in th e congregational Church at Kingswood, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, England.
