General:

My great great grandfather, Abraham Driver, was born to Richard Driver and Ann at Seaton and Beer, Devon. He was christened on 23rd March 1817. He was the seventh of ten children. Abraham married Ann Mitchell in 1863. Given his age at the time - 46 - he ma y well have had a previous marriage. In 1866 when his daughter, Flora Ann, was born he was a seaman in the Royal Navy coastguard service. In the 1881 census he is listed as a pensioner, aged 64 married to Ann. The family address was Sidmouth St., Seaton, Devon.

There is a record of marriage for an Abraham Driver for this year - I need t o investigate further to confirm that it is the right one. The timing is abou t right as Flora was born in 1866.
